The difference

Nothing to trust.
A tool that runs in a browser has to receive your screenshot before it can do anything with it. Shotpop is a native iPhone app: the editing, the text recognition and the export all happen on your device.
- No image ever leaves the device. There is no upload path in the app. Backgrounds, frames, filters and export are rendered locally.
- Redaction runs on device. Text recognition uses Apple's Vision framework locally — the screenshot is never sent anywhere to be read.
- No account, no server. Projects live on your iPhone and travel in your device backup. There is nothing for us to host and nothing for us to read.
- Add-only Photos access. Saving an export needs add-only permission. Importing uses the system picker, which needs no library access at all.
- No account. No sign-up. No email address is collected. Open the app and start.
Being precise: the app does use third-party services for things that aren't your images — analytics and crash reporting, subscription management, ads on the free tier, and stock-photo search queries when you open that picker. All of it is itemised in the privacy policy.

One tap to redact everything sensitive
Auto-redaction reads the screenshot with Apple's on-device text recognition and covers what shouldn't be public — email addresses, card numbers, API keys — before you post it. The recognition happens on your phone; the screenshot is never sent anywhere to be scanned.

Pick your screenshot, pick a device preset, and the composer renders at the precise pixel dimensions App Store Connect expects — so the upload doesn't bounce back.

Do you see my screenshots?
No. Shotpop has no upload path — editing, text recognition and export all run on your iPhone. Projects are stored on the device and are included in your iPhone backup, which is Apple's infrastructure. We don't host it and we can't read it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Backgrounds, frames, filters, annotations, auto-redaction and export are all local, so the editor works with no connection at all.
The one thing that does need the internet is restoring a purchase. Everything else keeps working on a plane.
What does the free tier actually limit?
Free exports carry a Shotpop watermark, and exports may be subject to a daily cap that we can adjust. The free tier also shows ads — banner, native and interstitial — plus an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to drop the watermark from an export. Some templates and some device frames are Pro-only.
Everything else — the editor, the meshes, the annotation tools, redaction — is available on the free tier.
Is it a subscription, or can I buy it once?
Both. Pro is $4.99 per month or $24.99 per year if you prefer a subscription, and $49.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase if you don't. Subscriptions renew through your Apple Account until you cancel; the lifetime option never renews.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no login and no email address collected. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so restoring Pro on a new phone doesn't require one from us either.
Does it run on iPad?
Shotpop is an iPhone app, designed portrait-first, and it needs iOS 18 or later. We deliberately didn't ship a half-tuned iPad layout — an iPad version deserves its own design pass rather than a stretched phone screen.
What permissions does it ask for?
Photos access is add-only, and only so exports can be saved to your library. Importing a screenshot uses the system photo picker, which runs outside the app and needs no library access at all.
On the free tier you'll also see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Say no and the ads stay — they're just not personalised.
When does it launch?
